Karen is one of the founders and owners Fuse45. She is a highly motivating, effective and nurturing instructor. She was a true pioneer of the fitness industry, teaching aerobics during and post-college back when leotards were cool and big hair was in. Once her kids were grown, Karen exchanged her leotards for Lululemon and became trained in Stott Pilates, TRX, Spinning®, Rowing, and Personal Training. She took her passion for exercise to a new level when she launched her functional training business in 2010, which fueled the fire to develop her own fitness concept.
Sam is one of the founders and owners Fuse45. She found her true calling when she was asked to teach a few Spinning® classes in the early mornings while working as a marketing professional in New York City. Her dedication to fitness became her passion. She continued to teach additional classes while climbing the corporate ladder in Manhattan. Both her marketing and fitness careers continued to evolve in the Big Apple and now blossom in her hometown in Suburban Detroit. In 2015, Sam competed on Jillian Michaels’ reality show called Sweat Inc, where Fuse45 was officially born. She’s thrilled to continue growing Fuse45 and to share her dream with the world.
Alison is the Studio Operations Manager at Fuse45. While working out at Fuse45 to stay fit and strong during her yoga certification, she found that she is truly more of an athlete than a yogi. Alison played all sports in high school and club water polo in college. Being an athlete has always been a part of her. Prior to joining Fuse, Alison managed seven-figure accounts for Alpine Bank in Telluride, CO, Fortune 500 Corporate Trainings throughout the state of Michigan, and two Metro Detroit Lululemon stores. She's so glad she found what she was really looking for at Fuse45 through instructing, maintaining client relations, managing the studio and motivating everyone who walks into Fuse whether it's their first or 1000th class.
Risa is a founding instructor of Fuse45 - back when it was called Cycle & Row. She's been passionate about fitness all of her life. From running marathons to teaching “old school” aerobics, Risa has worked her way through multiple certifications for group exercise and personal training. Risa is an energetic, enthusiastic and supportive instructor. She has been teaching functional strength training, indoor cycling, TRX and rowing for many years and brings her enthusiasm, bomb playlists and ra-ra style of coaching to every single class at Fuse45.
Jerilyn has been an athlete her whole life and has a strong background in physical fitness. She is certified in IFA Personal Training, Group Fitness, Kickboxing, TRX, and Mad Dogg Spining ® . Her belief is that fitness should be fun, challenging, sustainable and innovative and that's exactly why she joined Fuse45.
Personal Training and coaching began more than a decade ago for Brian after spending half his life in healthcare. His love for weightlifting and passion to help others made a 2nd career feel like a 1st. Brian began running Kettlebell/TRX classes which eventually led to his first group training experience. He believes that well-balanced programming and effective training tools are crucial, but group energy is what really creates hard work. Brian has competed in Kettlebell Sport and Olympic weightlifting and coached many athletes both on and off the platform. His knowledge of human anatomy has helped a lot of his clients overcome pain with mobility and myofasical release techniques.
Monique has always had a passion for fitness and health. She has acquired multiple exercise certifications over the course of her career while balancing a busy family life. She has taught Spinning®, circuit training, kickboxing and Fuse45! She teaches every class with great energy and enthusiasm. Monique prides herself on inspiring people to be their personal best. She helps her clients set goals and achieve them. She brings a contagious smile and incredible energy to every class that will pump you up!
Daniel is a former NCAA Division 1 rower at Boston University. Along with rowing for a top nationally ranked program, Dan loves to coach. He has coached rowing at multiple levels and brings that professionalism and experience to Fuse45 in every class he teaches.
Amanda moved to the area after graduating from Central Michigan University with a degree in Health Administration. Competing in gymnastics as a kid, she always had a passion for fitness. As an adult, she was on the hunt for a new gym to join and stumbled upon Fuse45. She fell in love with it on day one and was so excited to turn that love for working out at Fuse into becoming an instructor! Amanda knows that staying fit isn't always easy- so her favorite part about Fuse is blasting that music and reminding people that they are already stronger than they were when they walked in the door!
Jill has two decades of experience in the fitness industry. She believes in pushing your body to uncomfortable limits, but NOT over the edge. She is supportive and encouraging, to help clients reach new levels fitness and gain mental strength. Jill believes what the mind can conceive, the body will achieve. Having completed four Ironman distance triathlons, and multiple marathons including Boston, Jill understands the hard work, and dedication it takes to go beyond what you ever thought you might achieve. Jill loves to work with fitness levels from beginner to extreme and of all ages! She even has experience and a certification in senior fitness.
Joe is a seasoned group fitness instructor, personal trainer and NCAA Division One Track and Field competitor. After transforming his own body, he loved the concept of bodybuilding, losing weight, and building muscle. He strives to help others experience the same love for fitness he has found. His passion in fitness really sets him apart. He is eager to help others achieve any goal they have in mind, whether it’s being fit, building muscle, losing weight, or even rehabilitating an injury. Joe has experience teaching TRX, Core Circuit Training, and Kickboxing. He holds multiple records including the AAU Michigan Record in track and he competed in the Junior Olympics. He is an expert in sport specific training, having coached high school athletics and competed in more than 7 different sports. Joe has experience training all ages and fitness levels and loves seeing his Fuse45 clients crush their fitness goals.
Morgan inspired dancers to reach for the stars for almost two decades before joining Fuse45. She grew from student, to assistant, to teacher and choreographer under the training of Annette Bergasse at Annette & Company School of Dance in Farmington Hills. Morgan's unique experiences in dance make her an incredibly talented fitness instructor. She believes that a positive attitude, hard work ethic and being true to yourself will always lead to success and she preaches these principles to her clients as she motivates them through intervals with her unbelievably motivating playlists.
Angela moved to Royal Oak after graduating from Central Michigan University with a degree in Dietetics. After playing two years of college soccer, she began instructing indoor cycling and now enjoys connecting her love for nutrition with fitness. Angela’s favorite part about teaching is seeing how well clients feel after class and pairing fun music to the workout.
Nicole moved to Royal Oak from Saginaw, MI and found Fuse45 while looking for a new gym to try. She loved it so much she decided she wanted to join the team! Nicole has true a passion for health, fitness, and motivating others. Her favorite part about teaching is encouraging clients to reach new limits and celebrating their improvements.
Maureen first began her fitness journey teaching high school students in Health and Physical Education. After a three year hiatus from teaching she realized she missed it more than she thought, and decided to take a different road and instruct adults. Her passion is to be creative while motivating people to get past barriers. She loves to try new things while incorporating basic elements in a workout. Maureen has been personal trainer, cycling instructor and teacher of HIIT, Tabata, TRX, boxing and circuit style classes for many years. She joins Fuse45 to help people grow strong mentally and physically.
Rachel is an accomplished dance instructor with awards in both performance and choreography, regionally and nationally. Teaching every genre of dance for over 20 years, she is a master of her art and beyond passionate about her students. She believes that both the arts and fitness are necessities in developing young hearts, minds and bodies. Rachel is a fantastic and dedicated mother to her daughter Harmony and son Arieus, as well as an awesome wife to Fuse45 instructor Shane! Family, fitness and the arts are the most important things in her life!
Shane is a writer, break-dancer, artist, actor, musician and martial arts practitioner. With multiple certifications including group fitness, kickboxing, and TRX, Shane focuses on helping others embrace, express and empower their hidden talents while completely entertaining them at the same time. Shane introduced Fuse45 clients to Ninja fitness classes for young kids and teens with the goal of teaching the basic principles of Kung fu, Tai chi, self defense, anti-bullying and physical conditioning. The program provides children with focus and confidence, while they learn integrity through the applications of integrated martial arts.
Aidan is a student at Groves High School where he is a captain of the Varsity Tennis Team. He became very interested in taking care of his body and becoming stronger and more fit as a 14 year old light weight. The emotional and physical results were fantastic and Aidan has been hooked ever since. At Fuse45, Aidan is able to combine his passion for exercise with his lifelong experience of working with special needs individuals where he teaches the Fuse Force class. In Aidan’s extra time he serves on the executive board of YFTI and preps for college!
Brian has a passion for teaching. Whether it’s in the classroom at Notre Dame Prep, or as a spin instructor, his goal is to make people the best they can be. Brian has been teaching for more than a decade in the classroom and more recently as a Spinning® instructor. He has spent thousands of hours on the road (bike), including the 150 mile one day ride across Michigan. He knows what it takes to make you a strong and powerful cyclist and will motivate you to achieve your full potential.
